In her first solo exhibition "Entropic Motion" at the Judith Andreae Gallery, a nine-metre-long mural in the main exhibition space forms the centrepiece of her conceived show, a mural on which a greatly enlarged scan of everyday, coloured household liquids and objects such as washing powder, shampoo, food colouring, cling film, mouthwash, cooking oil and cleaning gloves can be seen. These powders, liquids and pastes, which serve very different purposes in their actual function, react with each other and mix on the surface of the scanner to form an abstract image. With the help of these substances, we normally try to bring a certain degree of order and control into our lives. In their arbitrary mixing, all control is lost and, from our point of view, a great deal of disorder is created. However, this disorder develops its very own aesthetic. Color and materiality come to the fore and allow their arbitrary progressions and mergers to become a visual experience. The motif, reminiscent of images of outer space, thus establishes a connection between the microscopic and macroscopic processes in which our everyday lives are inevitably involved.
